It is a small Studio type apartment 17 plus a Loft space to sleep. You get Homewifi, compact Kitchen, Loft area, Bathroom, and Toilet in this apartment best for 2-3 people (up to 4 people). For 4th person, we can provide additional futon on the floor but this will take up floor space as it is a small apartment. To Shinjuku it is only 6mins ride in two stops from Daitabashi station which is nearest station from this apartment The Space This flat is small but clean studio unit with kitchen, bathroom & toilet, and AC. It has a great feeling of Showa Era located near Shinjuku (6 mins ride) and Shibuya (just over 15 mins) or walk 45 minutes or more. You can get to the Daitabashi Train station area in 4-5 mins just across the main road. The flat is located in a real Tokyo neighborhood friendly atmosphere. There are fresh supermarket, Obento shops, and local cafes around! The apartment is one room (17) with a separate loft area which can be access with the ladder. There is a bunk bed in the main common area. We have Loft space with semi-double type futon (120*200) for up to 2 people and a single bed for 1 people. If you are 4 people, we will prepare one single futon set. So help yourself to make the bed on the floor. There is a kitchenette with a sink, fridge, kettle, microwave and small pan if you would like to prepare anything in the apartment, although there are many good small restaurants and eateries in the neighborhood. The bathroom has a Japanese style tub and a shower; we provide soap, shampoo and conditioner of our local selection. It is a pretty small studio, but if you use this flat just to sleep and get ready to go sightseeing rather than staying all day then it is very cost effective! The whole place is yours although it is not big enough to get lost in this apartment! Moreover, lots of cute little traditional tavern 'Izakaya' on the way from the station just stop in for a quick bite and a drink or stay and chat with the friendly owners and patrons. The neighborhood is full of amenities 2 supermarkets, many convenience stores, coin laundry on the corner, and a public spa (Sento) also on the corner it is about 500JPY to make use of it! There are little bars in the neighborhood to try, or more extensive nightlife is very close to Shinjuku or Shibuya. Omotesando is also nearby which is a great shopping area. The unit's area offers an easy trip to many museums and galleries around Tokyo Access It is just across the street from the Keio-line Daitabashi station. Shinjuku is only the 2nd stop (5-6mins ride) from Daitabashi station and it is only 133JPY using Suica or Pasmo card. Shinjuku is one of the biggest station in Tokyo. Easily accessible to the sightseeing spots. From Narita airport it is very easy, Narita Express train from the airport goes to directly to Shinjuku and then 2 stops on Keio Line to the apartment. From Haneda airport just take an express bus from the airport to Shinjuku and then 2 stops on the Keio Line to the apartment. You can also walk to Sasazuka station, Shindaita station and Meidaimae station. On foot ,you get to see the area from the locals view point easily. Other Things to Note Thank you for choosing Daitabashi apartment to stay! - Check-in: Check in is available after 3pm. But if you want to check in earlier or just want to drop your luggage before that, please contact us. We will do our best to help you if it is possible. You will find the key at the post box, in front of the apartment complex. Please check your apartment number if not yet informed of it. No further code is needed to access the postbox. Please share your estimated time of arrival to the apartment for us. -Check-out: Check out time is 10am. We kindly ask you to notice us the check out time the day before you leave, so that we can arrange the cleaner. If not discussed differently, please lock your door when you leave and drop the key back into the post box of your room. If overtime stay will be happened, we will deduct the extra charge from your deposit. The additional charge information is below: From 10 to 12pm2000yen From 12 to 14:30pm4000yen - Entering: In Japan, you NEVER enter a home with your outdoor shoes. Please use the tiny entrance area to take your shoes off. This might be uncommon for you depending where you come from but you will get used to it. ;) - Noise: You chose a quiet neighborhood, so please respect the environment in a Japanese manner and don't create unnecessary loud noises. 10pm is the time to be quiet enough so your neighbors are able to get enough sleep for their jobs the next day. Japanese go out and party in izakayas, pubs, karaoke places and even in parks while picnic or barbecue. Normally the home is the place to get private time and peace. Anyway, you are in Tokyo and we promise you won't be bored! - Laundry: You want to wash your laundry before you leave, an accident happened or you ran out of clean clothes? We have a washer on each floor of the building. Also, the laundromat just around the corner might save your day. Except on Thursday, when it's closed. A small load costs 200Yen and 10mins in the dryer are 100Yen. You can find laundry detergent in the apartment. Just dump a small amount on top of your clothes before you close the machine, then feed it with your coins. The display will show you how much time it will take. - Hot water: We provide hot water for 24h, the trick is to activate it through pushing the round button on the right side on a display outside the bathroom, close to the kitchen's sink. It will show you the temperature which you can adjust with the arrow keys. Please be careful and don't burn yourself. - Electronics: You will find a small instruction manual on how to use the air conditioner in your apartment. Please turn it off every time you leave the house. It is powerful and warm up or cool down your place quickly when you come back and turn it back on. Also make sure the gas oven is turned off properly after use. - Trash: Japan recycles nearly everything. Be a part of an economic friendly community and help us to separate the garbage. You will find an information sheet in your apartment how to separate trash. It will be glued on top of the garbage can lid. Different garbage is collected on different days and you can help and drop it off on the main street, close to the coin laundry. Usually you put it under the blue net and in special collection containers. - Questions? Then don't hesitate to ask!
