Positive: The location was good and walking distance to a couple of restaurants and cafes as well as the bakers to collect fresh croissants and baguettes, the local supermarket was a short drive away too. Domfront is a lovely medieval village with lots of history to explore. The house itself is beautifully furnished and the outside seating area was an added bonus. The shower room on the first floor is large and the shower was great. The bedroom with the ensuite bath and toilet was beneficial to our parents so they did not need to go downstairs to use the bathroom once they were in their bedroom. The kitchen was well equipped with everything needed for a self catering holiday.
Negative: The stairs within the property are very steep which would be an issue for anyone with mobility issues. We were there with our elderly parents and they did struggle with the stairs so feel this does need to be highlighted in the properties description. My husband and I also found the bed we were sleeping in that the mattress was far to soft for our liking but this is a personal choice as we prefer to sleep on a firmer mattress, our parents said their bed was comfortable and they slept well.
