Positive: The property itself is perfectly located on the outskirts, offering the best of both worlds—a convenient 45-minute trip into Paris or a short drive to the countryside, and just 2 hours and 45 minutes from Calais. Set in a charming small village, this beautiful vicarage sits in front of a picturesque church and is right across the road from an exceptional boulangerie. There are also three fantastic restaurants nearby, each offering a wonderful selection of dishes at different price points, making dining out easy and enjoyable. The house, a 200-year-old vicarage, is brimming with charm and has been beautifully restored by Seb. The kitchen is a highlight, fully equipped with everything you could possibly need, and it comfortably seats up to 12 people. We appreciated the thoughtful touch of having basic essentials like salt, oil, and mustard stocked for us. Upon arrival, we were greeted with an amazing welcome basket filled with local breads, wine, cheese, chocolate, and coffee—a delightful start to our stay. Seb met us as we arrived and showed us the secure parking area in front of the property, which easily accommodated up to four cars, with additional space to store our bikes. The garden is another standout feature, spacious and sunny, complete with a gas BBQ, comfortable seating, loungers, and a real sun trap. The pool is perfect for young families, with a security cover that provides peace of mind for those with small children. We stayed here with another family, and the house was more than comfortable for all of us. This is truly a special home, lovingly restored and thoughtfully designed. We felt lucky to have discovered such a gem and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable stay in a charming French village.
