Travel Purpose: business
Positive: The location is excellent, within easy reach of shops, beach and nightlife. The apartment was spotlessly clean.
Negative: The apartment felt quite dated, with noticeable signs of wear and tear throughout. For example, the fridge was in poor condition — the freezer drawers were broken, and its awkward placement made it difficult for someone else entering the kitchen. The sofa was covered with a worn throw, and the drinking glasses were cloudy, likely from repeated dishwasher use. There were also padlocks on various cupboards and areas, which gave a slightly unwelcoming feel. One of the biggest drawbacks was the lack of air conditioning. I visited in August, and while there were fans in most rooms, they just circulated warm air rather than cooling anything down. Unfortunately, this made it very difficult to sleep — not just because of the heat, but also due to the constant noise from the fans.
Summary: Great location but dated apartment with no air conditioning.
