Barnby Barn 1 is one of three dog friendly holiday homes converted from historic barns in Bossall, a pretty village surrounded by open countryside, midway between York and Malton in North Yorkshire. Newly refreshed throughout for the 2023 season, this holiday home offers all ground floor accommodation and is perfect for six looking for a peaceful break but with easy access to York.
Within the property you will find attraction leaflets and information on whatโs on in the local area. The entrance to The Old Stables 1 is on the right. The spacious open plan living area offers a vaulted ceiling and exposed beams. Deep filled sofas provide the perfect spot in which to relax in the evening whilst an electric wood burner provides a warming ambiance. The kitchen sits to one side and provides a large breakfast area for dining. Retire in the evening to one of three cosy bedrooms: a double and two twin rooms. The accommodation is completed by a shower room and a separate toilet. Step outside and find a shared garden overlooking grass land which is grazed by sheep during the summer months. Each cottage has a private seating area where you can enjoy al fresco dining on an evening or just sit with a coffee and watch the wildlife; donโt forget to bring some binoculars to enjoy watching the barn owls that have made this area their home.
These holiday homes can be found at Barnby Farm on the edge of the Howardian Hills an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, famous as the home of Castle Howard of TVโs โBrideshead Revisitedโ and more recently, Death comes to Pemberely. With a year-round events programme, a visit to this stately home is a must.
