Positive: We were lucky to be able to get a relatively last minute booking at Casa Elide, which was very easy to get to from Catania Airport - being a few hundred metres from one of the AliBus stops. Valentina was easy to contact and met us at the apartment to show us our room etc. The area seemed very quiet and was close to some really great menu options. Air conditioning worked really well.

Negative: As is the case with older apartments, we found the shower was very hard to get warm water for more than a few seconds. There were quite a few mosquitos - but it was quite a warm and muggy night! When we stayed, were were given tickets for a breakfast at a cafe very close by - which we found a little hard to work out whether we sat down first and then ordered etc.

Summary: Apartment very close to airport transport options, very friendly host and quiet area.
