Casa España sits less than 250m from one of the finest beaches on a coast renowned for its fine beaches! The house is tastefully decorated and sits in a well-kept, mature garden, with a large pool and extensive covered terrace. Located within the exclusive residential area of Roche, the steps at the end of the road lead down to the perfect Atlantic beach that stretches some 7km in one direction, where it finishes at the abandoned tuna fishing port of Sancti Petri, and 500m in the other, where low sandstone cliffs rise to form a series of tiny sandy coves and rock pools known as the Calas de Conil.
The distribution and décor at Casa España is far more interesting than those you would normally expect to find at a beach house. Old Moroccan doors, marble floors, and the owner's many personal touches create plenty of atmosphere; while the modern kitchen and nicely decorated bathrooms, and central heating, open fire, and large open-plan living space make for a comfortable and practical stay.
Accomodation at Casa España is on two floors. On the ground floor we have the main entrance, which takes us into a smart entrance hall, leading through to a very large (60m2) sitting room / dining room that opens on to the large covered terrace and the pool through a series of french windows. Leading off the hall, there are two twin bedrooms and a bathroom. The kitchen is off the dining area, and has its own access on to the covered terrace on one side and a back entrance and hall with another twin bedroom and bathroom on the other. On the first floor there are two double bedrooms, one with roof terrace and en suite bathroom, and another with its own access to the bathroom.
There is room to park two cars inside the property, though you can also park on the street as it's perfectly safe and easy. The closest restaurant is a 15-minute walk down the beach (just five minutes to the closest beach bar during the summer season). A walk of about 500m will take us to the local shop, pharmacy, a couple of bars and restaurants, and childrens’ playground. Roche also has its own tennis and padel courts and five-a-side football pitches. In the summer months, there are several beach bars/restaurants to choose from within walking distance, some of which are now staying open all year. A 5-minute drive will then provide you with a far larger selection of both bars and restaurants. You could spend a wonderful holiday here without a car, and just hire bikes; but, assuming you will have a car, it’s 15 minutes to Conil, 20 minutes to the hill-top village of Vejer-de-la-Frontera, 30 minutes to Cadiz, 40 minutes to Tarifa and Jerez, and 90 minutes to Seville, all of which are well worth visiting.
