Positive: This Chateau is very close to St Emilion , The staff are lovely and most helpful and courteous .Balthaza received us and helped us settle in and Eliott was excellent with the wine tour and his assistance. The rooms are beautifully appointed, quite spacious and I always love a large opening window. The breakfast room and wine tasting rooms are stunning.
Negative: This is a high end, prestigious property and my expectations were not met. 1) There is no refrigerator in the room 2)There are no coffee making facilities in the room only in the common area ( I kind of get this) 3) There is no safe in the room 4) The courtyard that you must cross to enter or leave your room is loose cobblestone, only conducive to sneakers and the likes, so when we went to dinner , I had to change shoes in the car on leaving and arriving. 5) There is no outdoor lighting at the property, it was pitch black ,so when we returned home after an evening out , we had to use our phones to walk the 100 meters back into the chateau.
