Travel Purpose: business
Positive: The place is conveniently located close to the train station and the city. The house was very clean and well maintained. Communication was prompt and clear. The staff were very helpful - I loved my decision to stay in this place. Having a working desk was an added advantage. My flight arrived at 10 pm and I was able to check in smoothly around midnight. The AC and fan were fully functional. The host also responded promptly to requests. So many positives at this place. I highly recommend it and will book again and again if I come back to Dakar.
Negative: Whilst there is so much praise for this property, it's worth stating that I got tired of precisely the same breakfast by the end of day two. No fruits and no variety. I suggest they do not advertise as a bed and breakfast; then, if they wish, they can "surprise" short-term guests with breakfast. Second, I struggled with the pillows. They were very soft, and I often woke up with a stiff neck. Unfortunately, they could not get a replacement for me since they said they had no other better set. Third, and a very urgent and strong recommendation to the hosts, is to urgently relocate their 'kitchen sink' to a better location than its current one. Seeing the kitchen lady washing dishes in its current location was the least I could expect from this beautiful place. Other than than, still my best choice for the nine days I spent in Dakar.
