Summary: We had a great time staying at Chique Chippendale while in Sydney for a week for SXSW. Coincidentally, a lot of the events were held within walking distance of the apartment, as were many great restaurants, cafes, parks/play areas, supermarkets, and public transport. Note that there are a few pubs a couple of streets away which played very loud live music on most of the nights that we were there. Not sure if this was a SXSW thing or normal occurrence - it didn't bother us too much and didn't prevent us from falling asleep, but people who are more noise sensitive may consider staying in a quieter area. Having an underground parking space was super handy as we drove from Melbourne and didn't want the hassle of trying to find street parking every day with a toddler. Bed and living area was clean and comfortable, bathroom has a lot of space to move around and includes washing machine and dryer (which we didn't end up using). Fully stocked kitchen with fridge, kettle, toaster, dishwasher, and crockery and cutlery. We ended up handwashing most of the dishes as the dishwasher or the dishwashing powder (or both) weren't very powerful and the same load had to be put on twice, and still wasn't coming out very clean. Pool and rooftop area would be great in summer - we hung out around the pool on one day but it was a bit too cold and breezy to actually swim! Gym is a great bonus and includes a sauna!
