The Country Cabin Retreat is a pet and horse friendly property located just minutes from Siesta Key. Guests will enjoy a private and tranquil setting as the cabin sits among tropical landscaping and open pastures. Our cabin is cozy and extremely comfortable with a true rustic western style throughout. The cabin master bedroom and large porch overlooks a beautiful pond with water fountains and cypress trees. The master bedroom is private and spacious. The rustic living room is very comfortable and equipped with a king size memory foam bed loft. The Country Cabin is large enough to accommodate up to 7 guests and romantic enough to make the perfect couples getaway. Just outside the door meet our loving farm animals. Treats are stocked and ready! The Country Cabin accommodates all pets by request and also has a private one acre grazing pasture and two private stalls available for guests traveling with horses. Our neighborhood has 17 miles of horse trails available at all times all riding easements along all roadways. For travelers with dogs located just steps away from the cabin entrance is a large and spacious dog kennel. This private kennel has running water and is located under a cluster of beautiful Southern Oak trees for plenty of shade. 100ft cable line available for active dogs as well.
Itโ€™s just a short drive to Siesta Key and we are conveniently located less than a mile from the entrance to Myakka State Park. One of states most popular tourist destinations. Lots of gators to see and adventures to do there! The property is available for events by request.

Summary: We all had such a great time and Richard is a wonderful host. The complimentary boat ride was amazing! We swam so close to dolphins on a sand bar. My kids loved the cabin feel, goats, and sheep. I for sure appreciated the privacy of the cabin, cold A/C, super hot showers, and very comfortable beds! Despite, living locally the kids are already begging to go back. Richard was very accommodating and has created plenty of things to do there inside and out so you are never bored, including a giant bin of legos for the kids! We were so relaxed. We also saw deer almost every morning. Thank you Richard!
