Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: This apartment was well-located in Sorrento for visitors using public transportation, as we were. It was about a 10-minute walk to the train/bus station and the same to Marina Piccola to catch a ferry. It is just a couple blocks from Mama Che's Restaurant with its homemade pasta and not much further in the opposite direction to David's Gelateria. A supermarket is just around the corner from David's. The apartment was fairly spacious with a separate living room and two good-sized bedrooms. The yard in front was just beautiful. Visitors should be aware that the apartment building is in a strip of identical buildings, all with the same number 20. Our host had planned to meet us at the ferry dock, but we ended up arriving in a taxi, so it was a little confusing when we got there. We called the host and all worked out with a minimum of fuss.
Negative: The apartment was a little tired and would benefit from a bit of sprucing up. The bathrooms were very small -- additional hooks to hang things from would help a lot. The sofa bed in the living room could stand to be replaced. We did not need to use it, but the washing machine is outside on a balcony.
