Positive: The lodge was beautiful, clean, and very comfortable. We loved having the hot tub, especially as the weather was awful. The lodge was beautifully decorated and felt like home for our few nights. It was very quiet and private which was a bonus. I would definitely recommend it to friends visiting the Lake District.

Negative: It would have been nice to have some sort of cover over the hot tub, even a parasol, to protect from the falling acorns and the rain. There are no cleaning products or hand soap, so be sure to bring some unless you plan on shopping straightaway. I didn't think to bring a hairdryer and the park reception would not allow me to borrow or hire one of theirs because it is a privately owned lodge, so I had to buy one in town the next day.
