Positive: I loved the location. It was perfect to be away from the women's festival but close enough to walk. It felt nice to have a separation from the businesses of the town. I loved all the fruit trees available. I probably ate my bodyweight in figs and grapes. I wish the pomegranate was in season but they were still lovely to look at. I liked being able to make a coffee and sit on my balcony to watch the morning go by. The shower was powerful and I enjoyed the every other day cleaning schedule. This meant the room always stayed fresh. I had everything needed for a comfortable 2 week stay. The safe in the room didn't work but I felt comfortable leaving my laptop out when I went to town. The Internet was strong enough to work all day as well as stream movies at night. I especially enjoyed the drinks night the hosts held for all guests on week 2 of the festival. This really fostered good will and many people booked their return immediately afterwards.
Negative: The last 50 metres of the walk back is in darkness so can be a bit intimidating for a solo female traveller but I felt safe enough. Only thing that ever popped out of the bushes was a very vocal cat that liked to walk me back home.
