Positive: Staff at the front desk were very nice, friendly and helpful!
Negative: We were really looking forward to our stay at the Hilton, but unfortunately, it fell short in several areas. Our room, #109, was on the ground floor and didn’t have a balcony, which was disappointing. While the room was clean, no basic amenities like shower caps and Q-tips. Small details that should be standard for a Hilton. The biggest issue, however, was the service at Vaipuna Pool Bar & Restaurant. We sat for over 25 minutes without anyone coming to us, not even to offer a menu. My husband had to go up and ask for one. After finally receiving the menu, we waited another 15 minutes just to place our order again my husband had to wave someone down. Ordered a Perrier and a glass of wine. After another 25 minutes, they brought us one drink, but the glass was cracked from top to bottom. By then, we had already decided to leave. We did let both the waiter and the hostess know about the issues, but the response was underwhelming. It seemed like the staff was overwhelmed, though it was clear that one drink had been sitting on the counter for a while. The ice had melted and we never saw the wine glass. Overall wasted over an hour waiting! This was especially disappointing because it was our last night, and we were hoping to enjoy a nice meal and drinks. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen. Additionally, the pool chair covers were worn out and need replacing. We went to the breakfast buffet at 9:00 and lots of empty bowls. Based on this experience, I wouldn’t recommend this Hilton location to anyone. It’s a shame because it could have been a much better experience.
