Positive: The staff were friendly and accommodating from the beginning. The shuttle system to and from the airport was easy, quick and allowed us to go back to City Center once we checked in, thus allowing us to enjoy one last bit of Edinburgh before an early morning departure. The room was spacious and clean.
Negative: When we arrived, our room was thumping with the loud bass sounds of what transpired to be a rock concert outside. Upon our complaint, we were immediately moved to a room on the other side, which solved the problem. Due to our early start, we had to eat in the hotel restaurant, which was pricey for the barely average, small-portioned dinner received. Bottom line: (literally) the accommodation, other than an excellent staff, is ordinary, priced at luxury levels, because of its close proximity to the airport.
