Summary: The Moxy Bern was full of promise but there were too many errors that made the trip problematic. I am a patient traveller rolling with the punches so for me to complain it is strange. 1. When I checked in ghey hadn’t put us in a family room. No biggie. They gave a second room for my daughter for the first night. It meant that we had to unpack, pack, leave our luggage in a luggage room and then move rooms after a day of activity. They gave us breakfast vouchers which was nice. 2. We checked in to a family room the next day and the air conditioning wasn’t working. We asked for support but they couldn’t fix it. We toughed it out on the job promise they’d fix it. We left for the day, came back and… still broken. The room was a sweltering 25+ degrees. Maybe more importantly, no one called to apologize, offer another room, or explain the problem. I let them know on my way out but there was no concession or offer to comp one night. In the end, disappointing. The staff was kind but they should have more autonomy to deal with these kinds of issues.
