Summary: the staff was so, so attentive and kind, and the space was very intentional but that didn’t change the fact that the rooms were just not that great. our group booked five total rooms, all at the same price point and got wildly different experiences. we got three very large rooms with seating areas and two rooms that barely had room for the bed. i’ve been in japanese hotel rooms more spacious… additionally, the beds were some of the most uncomfortable beds i’ve ever come across. my husband and i shared a rock hard spring mattress that rested on some (very beautiful) wooden planks. no boxspring, no mattress topper. my mother had a really firm mattress, but at least hers was soft. one of the room had holes in the wall and another had peeling wallpaper. twice, our group came across roaches. all in all, we loved the location and service but the space itself could use a lot of improvement.
