Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The chalet was lovely, clean and comfortable. It had everything needed for our stay with lots of towels and blankets. The enclosed garden area was just perfect for our dog to run around and play. We were contacted as soon as we arrived by Lyn to welcome us and check if everything was ok. I was also contacted by Mark when he advised me the water was being turned off the following day. He was very polite and offered us alternative facilities. On arrival there was also a lovely little basket with tea bags, coffee and biscuits and milk in the fridge. After a 6 hour drive this was just perfect and very much appreciated. The kids ate the biscuits pretty much immediately! There was also a little pot with dog treats in which I thought was a lovely touch. This place felt truly dog friendly which is not very common and we absolutely loved. I would definitely look to stay here again and would recommend to others.

Negative: Unfortunately there was some work being done immediately next to the chalet which was noisy and resulted in our water being turned off. Although Mark was very good about it and offered us other facilities if we needed them I was surprised when we returned to the chalet that night to see someone had been in, possibly to get to the meter cupboard, and had left the things from the cupboard out on the work tops. It wasnt as peaceful as we had hoped due to the machinery and banging. I appreciate that this isn't something that happens often so I would definitely like to return but I just felt had I known about the works being completed I would have booked somewhere quieter.
