Positive: The bungalow was far more spacious than we had anticipated as there are not many photos of the bedrooms on the listing. We loved the sea views and big sunny windows. Watching the train at the end of the garden was great fun. It was a very hot weekend when we stayed so we appreciated the ice dispenser on the American fridge freezer and the cooling sea breeze. Juice, milk & teacakes were a nice welcome gesture. Bedding was very nice and mini toiletries were provided. Location was great and we enjoyed the Pilot Inn.
Negative: The biggest issue we had was there were no kitchen knives provided so it made catering a bit difficult. Cutting food with the table knives and trying to slice a loaf of bread was an issue. We also found no dishwasher tablets had been left - presume this was an oversight but meant we couldn’t use the dishwasher and we would have appreciated some kitchen roll. We also felt that for the price, the garden needs some TLC. There were weeds and fairly significant brambles growing as well as poisonous deadly nightshade which isn’t good when the property is pet and child friendly. Garden furniture needed to be cleaned before use. Windows inside and out could do with a good clean. A pile of junk mail and old letters on the side gave the impression this property is not so personally managed.
