Bruthen is the perfect location to set off for day trips, a short drive to the coastal towns of Metung, Lakes Entrance, and only two hours drive up the Alpine Road to Mount Hotham. Bruthen features a brewery, pub, cafรฉs, post office, general store, bakery, art gallery and a vintage collectors shed. A short drive to the local swimming hole of Ramrod on the Tambo River.
The house is solar passive and handcrafted featuring a huge stone wall made from local granite rock, concrete floors, recycled Baltic pine floorboards upstairs, and double glassed windows in the main living room with views of the bushland and gully to enjoy. It boasts two large living areas with a huge locally crafted wooden dining table to accommodate all. There are inside wood fires in the two living areas and an outside fire pit and seating overlooking the gully (BYO Wood). Enjoy beautiful clean rainwater collected on the property.
There is plenty of space for up to 11 people (5 bedrooms with queen beds) and an extra single bed in the 5th bedroom. There are three bedrooms upstairs (the main with ensuite) and two bedrooms downstairs. The main bathroom features a clawfoot bath to soak in and relax with bush views.
