Positive: The house is spacious and charming, with two separate bedrooms each having their own bathroom, plus a cozy shared living room and kitchen. It’s beautifully furnished and truly well-equipped with everything you might need. The location is quiet and peaceful, with lovely views over the surrounding vineyards — a perfect spot to relax. The host was very kind and helpful in communication. The area itself is absolutely stunning — this is truly the heart of Chianti.
Negative: Unfortunately, what could have been a perfect stay was overshadowed by the fact that the property was advertised with a private pool — which was not working. The photos in the listing showed a beautiful pool that actually belongs to another property 3 km away, but this wasn’t mentioned anywhere clearly. We made a last-minute booking and had other options, but this one seemed the best. Next day, only after we were already on the way did we receive a message saying that the pool was not available, but that we could use another one at a different property. We were told we could cancel for free, but by that time the alternative we had considered was no longer available. We didn’t want to ruin our holiday, so we accepted the situation — but we made it clear we were not happy. In the end, we didn’t use the alternative pool. Driving to another accommodation to share a pool with strangers is simply not the same as walking out into your own garden and enjoying a swim in privacy, whenever you feel like it. Despite the owner's polite communication, I can’t describe this situation as anything but misleading. Advertising a property with photos of a pool that doesn't belong to it, and which hasn’t worked for some time (as we later saw in older reviews), is not a last-minute issue — it’s a deliberate misrepresentation.
