Summary: This home is very nice with a beautiful outdoor space and solar heated pool. We appreciated the privacy and the location just outside of Red Hook. This is a perfect location for walking on the Bard College trails and for exploring the restaurants in the surrounding town. I would have given it a 5 star rating but the place left a lot to be desired in terms of cleanliness. We were greeted with fruit flies and a bad odor in the kitchen and upon contacting the owner she told us there was food in a cabinet. It was rotting and we had to clean it out. We also found a piece of broken glass on the kitchen floor. There was no room in the fridge or on the MBR shower shelf; the owner told us after our stay that she left condiments for our use. To her credit, she is very responsive but I was disappointed that she didn't try to "make right" by us.
