Summary: The cottage is a small two up, two down with a back extension for the bathroom. Its location might not suit all; it is on a heavily potholed unmade road, off a dual carriageway and can therefore only be accessed from one side of the main road. There are no amenities in the immediate vicinity. The cottage was well renovated, with new windows and an interior that respects the period style, such as cast iron radiators. In winter it is however rather dark inside, there is not much lighting. The front door opens directly into the living room, which has a couple of small sofas, the smaller of which has suffered from having had some very heavy people sitting on it. There is a TV with a Sky box and a wood burning stove. The kitchen is quite well equipped, with an excellent gas cooker and plenty of saucepans etc. but there is no teapot and the fridge is very small - with four people, it would be difficult to get more than a day or so of food in it. The bathroom is neatly done, with floor tiles in period style and a small bath with a decent shower. The bedrooms are sparse; although there is enough wardrobe and drawer space, the curtains in the front room are so thin as to be of little use and the beds have no bedside tables or bedside light; a very odd omission.
