Positive: The location was phenomenal. My husband and I visited Cape San Blas last year, and I wanted to take my mother and sisters. We are always looking for laid-back and quiet beach vacation spots. Our families and children do not care about the amusement parks or commercial aspects of other crowded beaches. Having access to an elevator was great! We also enjoyed having a boardwalk that provided access to the beach, which featured a ramp at the end. Just remember....as you cross the dunes, you will see wildlife from time to time. (Day 2 - a snake, Day 3 - wildcats; this was an added feature for us).
Negative: These are only thing to consider, but would not affect your stay at all. There are some maintenance items to attend to: the cracked granite around the sink, hard water deposits around the faucets in the kitchen, the lid of the toilet in the second bathroom is cracked, and the balcony sliding doors are difficult to lock. My mom (71 years old) suggested anti-slip threads in the tub, shower, but she knows this is a private residence so this would be a considerable investment. Some outlet plugs were not work well. (I suggest changing some to include usb or c plugs.) Oh, the pool light was floating out of its designated spot. Many lights around the pool were not working.
