Positive: The location is perfect, the beds are very comfortable and AbdAllah from housekeeping is pure gold, he's incredibly helpful and friendly.

Negative: The GEM is right opposite the street from the hotel so asking 30 USD for a taxi transfer (return) is an absolute ripp off, I understand that you need to drive a short distance before you can turn in the right direction again but in a country like Egypt where a 45 minute transfer cost 7 USD it's ridiculous to charge 30 USD for a 5 minute drive.... and the fact that he addressed me as "princess" when I told the manager it was too much didn't help my mood either. He did charge us 20 USD instead of 30 after my comment. The lady at reception who checked us out was not as friendly as you would expect from a 5* hotel, the question "how was your stay?" doesn't cost anything. Upon arrival they were fast enough to help with the luggage, when we checked out we were left on our own to drag the suitcases up the stairs to the car. When you pay that much to stay at a 5* hotel you expect the service to be better. O and stay away from the jewellery displays, unless you want a heart attack when they tell you the prices.....
