Come to Amarillo for the incredible natural beauty and one-of-a-kind attractions: our family home is just 15 minutes to Cadillac Ranch & 30-40 minutes to Palo Duro Canyon (the Grand Canyon of Texas!). Many of our guests are road tripping with friends or family, or coming through the Panhandle on business. Now that our kids are grown and we’re on the road, we’re inviting guests into our home! 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, fully equipped house with Patio, BBQ, and a safe location in a quiet neighborhood.
The space
Welcome to Texas! Whether you’re on a road trip with family or friends, coming through on business, or can’t wait to see the natural beauty and quirky attractions of the Texas Panhandle, I can’t wait to help you have a wonderful visit!
Our home has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. You can park in the driveway when you arrive, and you’ll unlock the front door using a unique unlock code that I’ll send to you before check-in. You’ll enter the house into the formal living room with a large sofa and chair. To the right is the first bedroom, with a full/twin bunk bed, dresser, ceiling fan and windows on two sides. The living room leads to the dining room and then to the kitchen, with tons of counter space, stainless steel French Door refrigerator, new cabinets, an island bar seating 2, coffee station, and a large window looking into the back yard. The dining room is off of the kitchen and can seat 6 people comfortably Perfect for big group meals, games or puzzles, and planning adventures. Modern Western decor. The master bedroom is off of the kitchen and includes a queen bed, comfy glider/rocker, dresser and private en suite bathroom with standing shower. The dining room also leads to the huge den with a leather sofa, mock fireplace and large flatscreen TV. The 3rd bedroom also has a full/twin bunkbed, fan, and shares the hall bath. The hall bath has a shower + tub combo and tons of counter space. The backyard patio has dining and lounging furniture, a fire pit, and a fan. There is also plenty of grass for kids to run around, and a small swing set and jungle gym in the backyard.
Amarillo is called the “yellow rose” because of the color of the soil and many of its wildflowers. One of my favorite activities to recommend is a visit to Palo Duro Canyon Park - incredible vistas await. Cowgirls and Cowboys in the West offers horse rides and exhibits starting at the edge of the Canyon Park to get you started! Just 5-15 minutes away, you can visit the Route 66 Historic District, Cadillac Ranch or the Amarillo Botanical Gardens. There are also lots of fun bars and restaurants in Amarillo - I’ll send you a list of local recommendations after you book! Any questions, just let me know.
