Peace and tranquility. Original 1950s retro cottage, stylishly renovated and beautifully equipped for a peaceful and relaxing holiday.This cottage is perfect for families or even a couples only getaway. Location - The Shack is located at Palm Beach on the waterfront reserve of St Georges Basin. You have private access to the reserve and also the local playground and BBQ area. Key features - Original 1950s retro cottage beautifully renovated and decorated, and well catered for families or couples. Configuration - The Shack is an original 1950s cottage that comprises three bedrooms and an open plan living and dining area with reverse cycle air-conditioning. As you enter the house you have combined laundry and bathroom on your left (with washer and dryer), before you make your way into the open plan living and dining area. The kitchen has all the mod cons needed while away on holidays, including a dishwasher. Down the hallway are the three bedrooms. Main with a queen and the other two have split bunks - ideal for young children. Facing the waterfront you have a large open entertaining deckand boat shed with direct access to the waterfront reserve. The yard is fully fenced. Outdoors -A large backyard, and entertaining deck makes this house perfect for outdoor living. Heating and Cooling - The Shack has split system air-conditioning along with a combustion fireplace in the living area. There also electric heaters in the bedrooms. Linen - Linen is supplied at The Shack. Please however remember to bring your favourite beach towels. Parking - The yard is large enough to park a boat or up to two cars. Pets - The Shack is not pet friendly. Please contact us for a list of our many pet-friendly options. Minimum stay - There is a minimum two night stay for all bookings, which changes to three nights on long weekends, four nights at Easter and seven night blocks during peak season. Peak season runs from mid-December to the end of the Australia Day long weekend in January. Peak changeover day - Please note that during peak season, our properties have designated changeover days so as to make the cleaning rosters manageable. Special information - none. Internet / Wi-Fi access - NBN is progressively rolling out along the South Coast of NSW. If your house does have internet and if the owner makes it available to guests, you may use it with no guarantee of reliability or bandwidth by us or the owner. If you bring an internet dongle with you, the best network is generally Telstra. Otherwise, use your smart phone only during your stay or find a local cafe or library that offers free wifi.
