Summary: The house in Manas is spacious and comfortable. Especially enjoyable was the opportunity to eat out on the terrace in the evenings - amazing sunsets. Well equipped kitchen although a cafeteria plunger coffee maker would have been more welcome rather than one placed upon the cooker. The hob was also erratic even though we looked at the instruction booklet - it was difficult to time the food being cooked as kept losing power. The hob upstairs was far more efficient. Overall we enjoyed our stay in this historic property and explored the many pretty, interesting surrounding villages as well as the larger towns. To conclude Manas is for those who want to get away from it all - we rarely met anyone in the village and there were no facilities such as a supermarket, bar nor bakery. Nearest village to have access to the above was probably 2 kilometres away.
