Miles of snowmobile trails! A long private half-pipe sledding hill on the property that shoots out onto the frozen lake! Garage and heated shop available for your sleds and gear! Large open floor plan with huge wall of windows overlooking private Hunter Lake. This lodge has four bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Sleeping for 11 adults or 12 with children. In addition, there are two *Cordaroy bean bag beds for extra sleeping. Many thoughtful touches in this beautiful lake front forest lodge. Four adult and one child sized kayak available for your use. Fire pit. Trails. Huge deck. Two screened porches, including one that can be warmed up for dining while surrounded by snow. Green space for games in summer. Snowmobile and ATV trails within 3 miles and 9 hole executive golf course.
The 3 million acre Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest is at your doorstep for hiking, biking, fishing, skiing, foraging or hunting. The adorable artsy town of Hayward is a great place to shop and check out the local artisan community. Plenty of day trip activities if you ever feel like leaving. Family friendly. Retreat friendly. Summary: We had a multifamily getaway for a long weekend, just what we needed! Kids were aged 9-13, and they had a great time. It was laid out nicely with one family sleeping in the multi-bed room in the walk out basement, and the other family taking the rooms on the main level and loft. The kitchen was fully ready to handle what we wanted to do. Foosball tournaments, great indoor fireplace, outdoor bonfire. Views of the lake from the deck were great for morning coffee! Excursions included visiting the candy stores & shopping in Hayward, with some good pizza at Coop's. Grocery store in Hayward (Marketplace foods) is what we also used, a nice store. We also spend a morning hiking at hiking at Copper Falls State Park, which was a good hike for us. Lunch on the way pack was at Chippewa in Clam Lake, we didn't want to wait for the pizza (Chicago style takes some time to cook), but the sandwiches were tasty! Our families loved our visit!
