Positive: This is a great location, only 7 minutes from White Plains Lake where you can fish and swim. There is a rope swing on the other side of the lake, but we didn't make it that far. We did catch a small fish! That was awesome.. The cabin is amazingly set up for groups and kids. There are so many games to play, I didn't find out until we left, but they had guitars upstairs and a video game console for the kiddos even! Air hockey was fun and the kids loved the piano! They also loved the stand up arcade game. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans and utensils. Beds were comfy and there were plenty of them!
Negative: Well the door was not locked upon arrival nor do I think that the door locked. However, it is pretty far out there and I felt really safe. I would suggest that the management replace the front door lock. Also, there were supposed to be guest passes for the swimming area, which there is a charge for.. we never found the passes and my wifi only worked when I was in the house.. so I never actually determined where the passes were. But we went to the White Plains lake instead which was 7 minutes away by car and free! The last thing - there are many stairs to get up to the cabin - so it may be difficult for older relatives to make the hike up.. there is a pull dolly that automatically hauls your stuff up for you.. this came in really handy with the ice chests that were heavy!
Summary: I have rented many locations and this was one of the most kid and pet friendly so far!
