Positive: We stayed at Vavilon in Karakol for three nights and it was such a refreshing stay. After a few more "rugged" places throughout the stans, this place was modern, recently updated and very much up to western standards. It was spotlessly clean, the owners were friendly and provided any needed items and we were very comfortable here. It's probably a 30 minute walk from the true center of town and a 15 minute walk from a more major street with restaurants and a Globus grocery store. There's a corner shop on the next corner that wasn't too bad in a pinch. It was nice to have a fridge and there is parking if you have a car. I'm not sure what else to say about this place but everything was great and probably the nicest place we stayed in Kyrgystan. Would recommend.
