Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: Beachfront property is at a premium in Puerto Viejo. A good majority of the hotels are across the street from the beach. So I really appreciated the benefit of waking up to the water and hearing it. We stayed on the upstairs room so had a hammock, with for me is bliss. The ground floor rooms don't have the hammocks. The property is well kept and the fauna and animals are wonderful to observe.
Negative: The variety of breakfast could use some swapping out if staying more than 3 days. While I liked hanging by the pool, there wasn't a place to sit provided by the hotel to hang by the beach.
Summary: Family vacation, and really appreciated the beauty that surrounds.
