Summary: It was nearly all of what I wanted it to be. Its a grand old house with a charm of its own set in pleasant grounds. Cleanliness of room was faultless. The temperature control for the shower over the bath was not working quite as it should. Needs attention although just about serviceable. Also faulty light over the sink. However room very comfortable. Great buffet breakfast. Had one evening meal at the hotel also which was much enjoyed. Not sure that what we ate represents good value for money but the price was roughly what I expected and no complaints about the food. The hotel is a very easy car journey from either Epsom or Dorking for shopping What was a shame was the lack of staff to clear away empty bottles of drink and used plates from the very attractive terrace in a timely fashion. These attracted bees/wasps which are a nuisance to subsequent users
