Only a mile and a half away from the famous horse racing town of Middleham, guests will find many excellent quality local pubs and restaurants within easy walking distance as well as cafes, tea rooms and a convenience store. Steeped in history, Middleham Castle was once the home of Richard III and its remains are a popular attraction for tourists. Also well known for its horse racing links, guests will be able to watch the world class racehorses being ridden through the centre of Middleham and out into โthe gallopsโ at the edge of the village. The barn is also close to East Witton, a quiet village with two pubs and from which you can enjoy a pleasant, low level walk to Jervaulx Abbey.
