Positive: The room, parking, cleanliness, and location are ideal for road cycling tours.
Negative: The welcome and organisation could be improved. Breakfast is very limited; even in a mountain hut, you get more variety. On the first evening, we waited over an hour for dinner; two starters were forgotten, the salad was very small and overpriced, and there were no vegetarian main courses available. The next day, we were told we could no longer dine at the auberge. Later, we realised why: a large birthday party was taking place. Unfortunately, the party went on for most of the night, making it impossible to sleep (already the night before there had been noise). When we raised this issue the next morning, our complaint was not taken seriously; we were told the party had “officially” ended at 1:30 a.m. and that we could have “joined in”. However, at 3:30 a.m. we had asked if the music could be turned off, only to be told that the birthday guest had permission from the auberge. Even if the establishment describes itself as “just an auberge”, it is still possible to be friendly and attentive towards guests.
