Positive: Stayed there when I was younger as my father was a colleague of the owner, Mr Tansey, so knew what to expect. My mum and dad stayed there, and the adjacent Rose Cottage, many times during their life together, and it was our aim to lay their ashes to rest on the adjacent Latterbarrow Hill as this was their request. Staying in Barn End flat also brought back fond memories for myself also of the numerous times I've stayed there and accompanied them on their walks up Latterbarrow, Hawkshead and The Drunken Duck Tavern
Negative: It was good to be able to put the car in the adjacent barn/garage for the duration of my stay, however, on one day another car was parked right in front of the barn doors with no sign of the owners, preventing access should the need of arisen, especially in an emergency. To this end, I would suggest that a sign is put up on the doors stating that this is private land and access is needed to the garage 24hrs a day
