Positive: Sleep quality: The bed is fabulously 2 x 2 meters and the mattress is ok comfortable, slightly on the hard side. Several pillows to choose between. It’s a shared duvet, but it is giant. The village is super quiet at night. Location: This is the perfect village to stay in while exploring Parque Alcornocales, and opposed to other beautiful “pueblo blancos” this one is alive with real families living real lives here (not just tourists and expats) and there are two great restaurants and a fall back in case you didn’t get a table at the good ones. The village also has a very decent supermarket with everything you need as well as a couple of minor grocery shops. Parking: Theoretically you can park outside your window, but most likely the spot is already occupied or you don’t have the guts to park on a very steep, very narrow street for fear of car scratches, in which case there are several very large free public parking lots 400 metres downhill. Stay quality: It’s the most beautifully decorated 2-floored house, with the giant bathroom upstairs with the bedroom and reading/snack & beer corner – from here you will have the most amazing view of the mountains and the fields outside the village. Downstairs is the kitchen, well-equipped for cooking if you’d like, as well as room for drying muddy boots and the like.
