Summary: We were lucky to find this lodge still available at quite short notice and I’m glad we did. Its location directly on the side of Loch Lomond on its southern edge is nothing short of incredible, offering uninterrupted views of the Loch and its surrounding hills. The booking process, check in and access were seamless and it was a lovely surprise after a five hour drive to find the fridge stocked with basic requirements and a chilled bottle of white wine!! The Lodge itself has a traditional appearance but the inside is extremely modern. A fully fitted kitchen and equipped laundry room gave a real home from home feeling. The mezzanine bedroom with its own balcony was very comfortable, again offering amazing views of the Loch. Even though we felt miles from anywhere whilst we were there, there is a small town only two minutes drive down the road and a larger town with all the regular large supermarkets only ten minutes away. All in all I cannot find a single thing to criticise about our stay, from start to finish. We will certainly consider another visit if a super-relaxing long weekend is ever required in the future.
