Want to spend a few days in the typical French countryside? The very large garden, patio and adjacent pond will make for a calm and quaint stay where youโll be able to relax. There are plenty of outdoor activities in the area (hiking, kayaking, vรฉlorail) as well as great local food. The vineyards of Sancerre and Pouilly-sur-Loire, as well as Guรฉdelon are a 30min drive away. You will find all you need in Donzy (5min drive), including a supermarket with a drive through.
The chalet was built in 2008 with ecology in mind. Whenever possible, materials were locally sourced, such as the timber used to make the patio and the dining table which come from Donzy. The chalet is equipped with solar panels, a solar water heating system and a wood burner stove. Youโre also encouraged to use the recycling bins as well as the compost bin. Depending on the season, the fruit trees, berry bushes and hens will give you plenty of fresh fruits and eggs. Note that there isnโt any cockerel so your sleep will stay undisturbed!
