The holiday villa is located in a small urbanisation, just 2.3 km away from the beach โ€œVale da Lamaโ€ and about 8 km to the city of Lagos. The villa lies on a plot of 1.540 sq. m surrounded by a beautiful Mediterranean garden. The villa has a living space of 185 sq. m. There is a playground for children with a swing, seesaw, slide and sandbox. Another part of the garden offers fruits trees (lemon and orange). The famous golf course โ€œPalmaresโ€ lies 2.5 km far from the villa and in the village of โ€œOdeรกxereโ€, (+/- 4km) you will find some restaurants and cafes. Approx. 300 days of sunshine per year, with a cool breeze from the Atlantic during the summer time and a mild spring-climate during the winter โ€“ all this turns the Algarve in a favourite vacation spot all years round.
The villa consists of a living room with fireplace and Sat-TV (Astra 19.2ยฐ E), open to the dining area and the well equipped kitchen. There is also a washing machine in a separate room. Two of the bedrooms are furnished with double beds, 1 bedroom with a single bed and an armchair which can be folded out to a bed suitable for a child. 2 bathrooms, one with tub, the other one with shower (1 en suite). The villa is well equipped, so that the guests can enjoy their holidays in a comfortable atmosphere. The closed gallery on the upper floor offers a view to the sea. A gas central heating for the colder months is available.
Note: the costs for the gas during the heating period are not included in the rates and must be paid in cash on site.

Summary: We enjoyed our stay but there were some frustrating issues. Britta, the agent, was always very helpful and worked hard to put things right. We visited for the month of February, this villa is not a winter house, we had plumbing, heating and gas cylinder problems. There are no comforts, everything is very basic and past itโ€™s best, the whole villa needs renovation, furniture needs replacing/updating, arms of chairs both inside, and in the garden, were broken, shower screen in the en-suite was very difficult to open/close, only one person could shower at a time otherwise the hot water was drawn away resulting in icy cold showers, the drains in the bathrooms emitted a nasty smell, beds uncomfortable, had to buy pillows and cases as not enough supplied, linen old and thin. However, the garden with its fruit trees and vegetables is a delight, nice pool although too cold to swim in. Would not return to this villa.
