Smoky Bear Lodge is a renovated four unit boutique lodge directly across from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Each room is private with no shared spaces. We are located on US-321, which leads directly into downtown Gatlinburg (15-20 min). The Maddron Bald National Park trail is 1 mile from the lodge, and leads to the Appalachian Trail. The lodge is 10 minutes from Cosby Campground - the starting point for many park trails. We welcome dogs, and they MUST BE registered when booking.
*Floorplan and Amenities*
This unit is approximately 485 sq ft, with a luxurious Stearns & Foster king size mattress. All furniture is custom made from wood. Enjoy the 75" smart HDTV which is connected to xfinity cable and has the ability to connect to any of your streaming services. There is also a desk you may use.
This unit has a bathroom including a shower and a small sink. We provide all bath towels, hand towels, washcloths, tissues, toilet paper, shampoo, body wash, and a hairdryer.
The kitchen is equipped with a microwave, two-slice toaster, Keurig coffee maker, two-burner hot plate, and a full size refrigerator. We provide all necessary cooking implements, including silverware, utensils, pots/pans, bowls, plates, cups, and mugs. There is a kitchen table with seating for two.
*Outdoor Space*
You will have a large patio with a two-seat bench in the front of the lodge. You may also access the picnic area near the maintenance cabin, walk the grounds, or use the fenced in backyard.
*Location*
We are located on highway US-321. This is a convenient location with direct access to Gatlinburg, national park trails, and stores. We have added resort-grade soundproofing insulation and drywall between all units.
Visit Donna Jo's Market and Subway across the street, Dollar General next door, or the Tennessee Readiness camping store across the street for convenient access to food and supplies.

Summary: So much space except for the bathroom. The shower was way too small, especially for a 6’3” 250 pound man! The bathroom sink was ridiculous! I couldn’t even wash my hands without getting water everywhere! Otherwise, the cabin was nice, just seemed that there was a lot of wasted space that could have been used to make the bathroom bigger!
