Summary: Stayed here with my husband and 10 year old. The apt is in a great location - walkable to the beach and short Uber rides to Old San Juan and Condado. (We did not rent a car during this part of our trip - Uber was great and didn’t have to deal with or pay for parking in Old San Juan.) The property is secure and the apt was generally clean. Communication with the hosts was great. There were beach towels and chairs. The downsides: 1) The A/C (heat pump) does not work in the queen bedroom. When the glass door and/or curtains are closed, it’s really warm. 2) The queen bedroom is adjacent to the living room, but there are no room darkening curtains between them, making it impossible to hang out in the living room/kitchen if the person (in this case, our kid) in that room is sleeping (especially since we had to leave the doors/curtains open to get any air in there). 3) The overhead light in the queen bedroom would turn on multiple times at night on its own. You can turn off the wall switch but then there is no ceiling fan… which you need because there’s no A/C in there. 4) There is nowhere to put luggage except the floor. Only one towel bar in the larger shower, otherwise no place to hang things. 5) One shower was only warm (not hot) with decent water pressure. The other shower would get hot but very low water pressure. (This may not be within the hosts’ control.) Overall, the place was serviceable but it could be made a lot better with a few fixes.
