Guests have access to the entire cabin including grill and covered deck. There is a steep staircase that leads to the water, there are 74 steps. Please be very cautious on these stairs, especially at night and after rain. Guests can walk down the gravel road to get to the water as well. *Please do not drive down gravel road* Please do not access private storage areas. There is parking in the front of the house for two cars.
Other things to note:
There’s a mile stretch of narrow gravel road leading to the cottage on Kelley Lane that’s in various states of disrepair. Please drive slowly, as there are ruts, potholes, hills, and curves. A truck or SUV is preferable, particularly after rain. This is a single lane road, please use caution. You will see a sign for Cottages on the Creek. Ignore the no-trespassing sign and pass underneath the covered bridge.
Launch at Cedar Creek Marina, 5 miles down the road.
Beware that the water in the creek is shallow. Most bass and pontoon boats should have no problem. There are many stumps and submerged trees throughout the lake. Please use caution, follow all safety rules and regulations, and boat responsibly.
There is a Dollar General store about 15 minutes away or a Walmart or Piggly Wiggly in town about 25 minutes away.
Please observe quiet hours after 11 pm and before 8 am.
Fires must be attended to at all times.
Please do not move furniture.
