Located near the Four Seasons Hotel and overlooking Prieta Beach and the Pacific Ocean, Villa Esperanza (House of Hope) offers all the amenities you want in a luxury vacation home. Each bedroom is its own colorful, yet private retreat – with a bathroom, bathrobe and the what you are expecting on a get-away vacation. In the Master Suite, you will live in your own luxurious spa-like atmosphere, where you have yet another stunning ocean view, a large marble shower and an outdoor garden shower open to Costa Rican skies. You will be awakened by the aroma of Costa Rican coffee at the coffee bar, then enjoy the custom breakfast (including the local Tico favorites and delicious tropical fruits!) prepared for you by the resident couple. There is light housekeeping service provided and a laundry room for your use.
You can pass the time relaxing by the infinity pool in peaceful surroundings, grab a chair in the quiet niche to read a book or join in the unending activities at Prieta Beach Club. Only a short walk away, Prieta offers many water sports and activities. Also included are programs for kids and teens as well as the electric bicycles that can be used around the Peninsula! The Nature Center offers a wide variety of educational and fun activities, too.
Villa Esperanza allows plenty of space indoors to enjoy a family meal, watch a movie or play games. There is a large covered outdoor area poolside to stay cool during the day as you barbeque on the grill. At night, take in the Costa Rican nature sounds around the glow-in-the-dark-tiled pool where you can entertain your entire group under millions of stars.
Should you want to venture outside of the Peninsula Papagayo gates, our Concierge will assist you in finding any type of restaurant, activity or need you may have. If fishing or boating is enticing, Villa Esperanza has a private boat for your use for a nominal charge, offering the opportunity to see whales, dolphins and gorgeous sunsets.

Summary: This was our first trip to Costa Rica and we were blown away. The neighborhood, Peninsula Papagayo, is the most exclusive area on Costa Rica. The entrance is gated and lined with huge palm trees. There are miles of walking paths and the entire neighborhood is manicured with lush plants, views of the ocean and golf course. We were greeted by the house staff and concierge with welcome drinks and tour of this beautiful home. The back porch is perfect for watching the sunset, listening to the many birds and watching monkeys. The primary bedroom is large with an amazing view, elegant bathroom and I loved the outdoor shower. All the bedrooms were well appointed and we loved the pool and outdoor areas. Each morning, the awesome house staff made us coffee and breakfast. They provided laundry and house cleaning each day which made the stay so relaxing. The concierge, Adrian, was awesome and took care of everything from groceries to arranging the chef, dinner reservations and booking excisions. He checked on us each day and provided for all of our needs. We did zip lining, a sunset boat cruise, a rain forest excursion, played golf and tennis, visited the marina, Four Season and the Beach Club. All were excellent. Having a golf cart is a must and we enjoyed it for getting everywhere we needed and also just driving around to take in the beauty in the neighborhood. This was one of our favorite trips and I highly recommend!
