Two-bed, two-bathroom period apartment with original features and stylish street balcony. Great location just a few blocks easy walk to Paseo de Grร cia - with the Gaudi buildings of la Pedrera, Casa Batllรณ, the emblematic street la Rambla and the Sagrada Familia, amongst other beautiful sites.
This Sunset is one of two luxury apartments that we have in the same building which are perfectly located in an upmarket street in the heart of the Eixample district within the Quadrat D'or (the Golden Square) of central Barcelona.
We welcome stays from couples, families (there is a cot) and cruise visitors. There is a limit of 4 adults for comfort reasons.
It is within comfortable walking distance of most top popular tourist sites such as the Gaudi modernist architecture of La Pedrera, Casa Batllรณ, the Sagrada Familia, La Rambla, the Gothic Quarter with the Cathedral, designer shopping streets. "barceloneta" city beach and old port can be reached in a 20 minutes walk or a 5-minute taxi ride.
The apartments date from the year 1900 and have original "escofet" tiled floors and period features.
We have worked carefully with designers and specialists to retain the original building features whilst bringing the apartments into the 21st century by including a stylish modern kitchen, bathroom, comfortable living room and dining area and a period balcony looking over great period architecture. There is a free Wifi fibre-optic connection and the apartment has climate control air-conditioning.
In our opinion this is one of the best areas for visiting Barcelona because of its central location and historical heritage. The apartment is very peaceful at night and at weekends. There are great cafes, bars and restaurants close by which we can recommend and we have personally tried. The closest metro stations (Urquinaona (l-1 red line and Tetuan L-2 purple line and Girona L-4 yellow line) are only 2-3 minutes walk from the flat.
The building does not have its own private parking because it is a protected building, but a small privately-run car park is close to the apartment (less than one minute walk). Otherwise, paid street parking is also available in the area.
Bathroom towels and linen are provided as well as basic toiletries and basic cleaning products.
A taxi should only take you around 15 minutes from Barcelona Sants railway station, 30 minutes from Barcelona El Prat Airport and 20 minutes from the cruise port. We can help reserve taxis on departures. Other public transport options are also available.
