Positive: We were the first guests at this new Villa staying for 9 nights at the start of July 2026 and it exceeded our expectations. It was spacious, immaculately clean, peaceful, luxuriously decorated and immaculately appointed with high tech appliances of an excellent standard and everyting you need, and so much more, for an exceptionally comfortable stay. The hosts, Jelica and Blaise, couldn't have been more perfect. They were beyond professional, helpful and friendly and just genuinely lovely people who care about their property and ensuring that you enjoy your stay. Villa Aurea is in a rural area with only one other property situated behind it and across a small road so is not overlooked by any other properties. The infinity pool overlooks uninterrupted landscape which is so relaxing and quiet. Though a vehicle is needed, whether that be a rental car or uber, Villa Aurea is only a 10 minute drive from the airport, 15 minute drive to the beautiful harbour town of Cavtat and a 25 minute drive to Dubrovnik. We hired a car for the duration of our stay which was perfect for us to have the luxury, privacy and quiet of Villa Aurea aswell as the flexibility to drive out whenever and wherever we wanted. We visited nearby sites with their own parking such as Sokol Grad Fortress and the hidden gem that is Pasjača beach and then used Cavtat as a base, we found parking there easy, to walk the harbour and town go on various boat trips. With our own car we crossed the border for a day trip to Montenegro which was well worth doing though there are also organised trips if you dont want to drive. We found driving around the area to and from the villa very straightforward and every location was found easily on googlemaps. We did, however, as per advice online and from our hosts choose to take ubers to Dubrovnik to avoid the costs and difficulty of parking there as peak season but we found the ubers reliable and reasonably priced. Our stay was perfect.
