The Pigeonnier has a large double bed and a small mezzanine area that can sleep 2 kids (aged 4 to 11 yrs). The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, washing machine, gas cooker, microwave, iron and board. This gite is ideal for couples or small families only. We are situated in the Charente Maritime on the west coast of France. Nearby are the historic towns of La Rochelle and Rochefort & Surgeres. This area is rich in History with many forts, Romanesque churches, castles and Chateaux. Sandy beaches just 20 mins.
The 17th century Farmhouse, Pigeonnier & Pressoir have recently been renovated to a very high standard. Each gite is fully equipped with everything you would need for a fantastic holiday. We are surrounded by rolling countryside with fields of sunflowers & wheat, close to a pretty Charentaise village with local shop, bar, post office and a local restaurant specializing in local cuisine. Nearby thereโs fishing, cycling, pony riding and lovely country walks.
WIFI is available in each of the properties.
Outside there's a seating area for each of the gites, bbq, large garden, children's play area and free use of cycles. There is a large 11x5 meter swimming pool secured by stone walls and a locked gate for safety reasons.
There is one off road parking space per gite in the courtyard of the farm.
There's a the bar/restaurant/shop in Landrais, village post office, Artist studio and a Garage (it's not possible to buy Petrol).
Antique Markets (brocantes) & Car boots (vide greniers) usually most weekends from April through to October.

All along the coasts there are long sandy beaches some of the best are Chatelaillon, Fouras, Ile d'Oleron & ild de Rรฉ.
